Affliction is a brand worn by "bros" with frosted hair, a fake tan, and an earring, meaning it's more associated with a place like southern California We don't spend $50-70+ on tshirts like an LA resident would

That's also why I said it was probably swag. Hey, I like Texas. I've got friends in Austin.

Well fuck...
2013 was supposed to be the year of Frank Miller. There were two adaptations of his books due out in the second half of this year, 300: Rise of an Empire and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. But Warner Bros. decided last month to push the former back to 2014, and now Dimension Films is following suit with the latter.
Sadly, that means Miller aficionados will be waiting almost a whole extra year to revisit his grim and gritty town. But hey, we’ve been waiting on a sequel for seven years already — what’s one more?
The Weinsteins’ Dimension Films announced today that Sin City: A Dame to Kill For had been moved from October 4, 2013 to August 22, 2014. The movie currently has that new date all to itself, though Guardians of the Galaxy, Dracula, and The Expendables 3 are all slated to open earlier that same month. No reason has been given for the decision.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For would have been one of two Robert Rodriguez-directed sequels coming out this fall, the other being Machete Kills. That picture is still scheduled for September 13. Miller’s other upcoming movie, 300: Rise of an Empire, is slotted for March 7, 2014.
Both Miller and Rodriguez had been talking up the Sin City sequel for years before Dimension Films officially put it into motion last spring. The wait had been so long by that point that Sin City‘s fans and even its stars had begun to lose faith that it would ever happen. At least now we know for sure the film will arrive eventually — it’s just a matter of waiting.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For combines stories from Miller’s books with new plotlines written just for the movie. Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jaime King are returning from the first film, joined by franchise newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Eva Green, Stacy Keach, Jamie Chung, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, and Juno Temple.

That's annoying. We know it's not a filming issue, that was completed long ago. Guess the studio is not confident it can do business with the likes of Captain Phillips, Old Boy, Gravity, and Out of the Furnace coming out that month.

New poster with cast names. Maybe we'll get a teaser soon?

Looks like Brolin will be playing Dwight; wonder if they'll have a Clive Owen cameo, or if it the storyline will be altered a bit.

What's the meaning of Dwight being "a killer with a new face" (as he says in the first movie)? Are there going to be multiple actors playing him?
The line in the first movie is directly from the original Sin City Book 3, The Big Fat Kill and refers to Sin City Book 2, A Dame To Kill For, which is to be included in the second movie. In the book, before the events of the first movie, Dwight has some extensive facial surgery done to him, after getting shot and winding up wanted for a murder. Hence, he's "a killer with a new face" by the time he's introduced in the second movie. Recently, it has been confirmed that Josh Brolin will be playing "pre-surgery-Dwight"

Yes, but it if it's true to the story, Clive Owen would have to show up at the end.

Did they write new material for Hartigan? Because that would be the only way Bruce Willis's appearance makes any sense. The only other story he appears in in "Just Another Saturday Night", and while it wouldn't suprise me if they are doing that story, Hartigan's appearance is the same one from "That Yellow Bastard", where he walks into the bar and finds Nancy dancing. The story is just told from Marv's perspective. I wouldn't think they'd need Willis for that, it could easily be done with stock footage from the first film (not to mention that it would be a waste of Willis's time to show up to film that), and if that's what they were doing, you wouldn't think his name would be on the poster.

Unless plans have changed, there's going to be at least one new story that isn't adapted from the comics. I seem to recall it was to be a Nancy-centered yarn...

Which shouldn't be a big deal with Frank Miller back to write the script.
