Night of the Comet on HDNET 3/21

I watched it tonight at 8:00 p.m. It is being repeated aroung 11:30 p.m. It was a very clean HD transfer. It was not the sharpest, but it was a low budget movie made 21 years ago. It was also broadcast in DD5.1 This should boad fairly well for a DVD release soon. Otherwise why do a new HD, DD remastering if you are not going to maximize your profits. I had not seen the movie since I was about 10, so I was not sure how good it would be. It was a little cheesy, but still pretty good. The actress that played Regina was very cute.

This thread could have gone in DVD, TV, or Movie Talk. I felt movie talk was most appropriate, but feel free to move if necessary.

Let's hope that a DVD is on the horizon - we could use a feel-good end of the world movie about now.

There's a good few movies that have been mastered for HD and shown on HD stations over the months, but still with no sign of a DVD release.

I watched this on HD-Net also.
Man, the cheese factor was turned up to 11!
Of course, what do you expect from an 80's flick.
