I don't think those two sites are shit, but then again, I've already seen the film three times.

If you've seen the film, you'll know exactly where the look of the site comes from. Four words: can't stop the signal.

In Atlanta, there's a showing on the 27th this month at the AMC Parkway Pointe threater at 3101 Cobb Pkwy (just south of the I-75/I-285 interchange, I believe). It's a Creative Loafing showing, and you have to figure out how to get passes from them in order to get into the showing (at 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday).

Nice to know the TV Special is "Inside Serenity." I had been doing searches on my tivo for just Serenity and nothing was coming up.

There's an article in this months Premiere as well.

I simply can't believe the number of people I know who are excited about this movie but have never watched the show. I guess I should be happy they are interested but that means they are all bugging me to borrow my Firefly set. I'm already planning to re-watch the series this coming week so they better figure out a Plan B.

My discs are out on loan at present also, and I said that they had better be returned tomorrow! We'll have our weekend marathon of the show after watching the R_Tam sessions again, and then next week I'll re-read the comics, and be set to run right into the movie! Can't believe it's just about here finally! (just think, had it been released in April, we'd probably be looking forward to the DVD release next week instead!)

Maybe I need some new friends!

Where can I get the comics? Guess my local comic shop, the newsstands aren't bringing me anything.

Someone may have better suggestions than I, but as far as stores go, everytime I'm in Borders I see at least one of the issues sitting there still (probably just the last one, #3). My comic shop can't keep them in stock!

Also, they are collecting them into a graphic novel, but I'm not sure when that's going to be out or what extras outside of a new cover there will be.

Serenity is opening on 2,100+ screens. Into The Blue is opening on 2,700.

I have a free pass to a showing of Into the Blue the night before it opens. The bottomline is Paul Walker is more famous than all of the regular cast of Serenity put together, Jessica Alba on the other hand, she's a pretty stacked deck (no pun intended).

I can't believe how close release is, i have waiting so long. I actually just turned my dad into a big Firefly fan over the last week with the DVDs. I make a deal with people that i will let them borrow the DVDs as long as they pay to see the movie in the theater. Anything to get that box office take as high as possible.
