Anyone see "A Tale of Two Sisters" (2004)...any good?

The Korean horror. not the Charlie Sheen poetry movie. Wondering if the upcoming DVD is worth a pick up. How's the movie, scary? comparative to any American releases? thanks...

I watched this on my home theatre system and it nearly gave me a heart attack the 5.1 DTS soundmix is intricate and cringe-inducing.

A Tale of Two Sisters is a slow movie.

But high up there on the creep scale, not really a whole lot of scary moments, but the movie keeps you constantly interested and slightly on edge.

Gets a good recommendation from me.

One of my favorite films... you know, there's an international forum here you could check when you have a question about a foreign film such as this. The search feature is handy as well. But yeah - it's a good film. Whether or not you'll like it is a coin toss though. Some like it and some don't.

So this is more about you wanting to start your own thread for attention than actually getting information since there's an abundance of "fo" available already. If you wanted to talk about the R1 DVD, you could check the DVD Talk forum for existing threads or start one. If you wanted to know about the movie, there's already more than enough info available - that's all I was saying... you getting defensive about this thread just tells me that's all you're interested in. I mean - I didn't even comment on this thread, I just said where other info was available since people seem to forget what International DVD forum is about

great, if not confusing movie. (confusing in the good way though.)

saw this at the philly film fest and was i in awe.

it plays out like a horror movie in the begining. asain horror, so think bodies in a jerky motion with lot of hair. but was well done and creepy none the less. then the movie changes, in my opinion, a good way. this allows for multipule viewings. DDD has the 2 disc for 15.99, well worth it.

even if you hate it, it has in one of the most freakiest,/horrfic moments i have ever seen, aka, the kitchen sink. freaked me the hell out. so even if you are jaded by asian or horror in genereal it is a great pick up for just that scene. *shiver*

I read in Film Comment that some Hollywood studio has some plans to remake this - whether or not this seems like a good idea remains to be seen.

I normally don't like horror films that
Spoiler:
pack a somewhat natural reason for all the events that took place when we arrive at the conclusion
but this flick was just damn creepy and well.....I loved it, very well made.
