Bad parts in good movies

I could never shake the cheesy crumbling of the last demon in evil dead, it looked awful. I know they didt have the budget but it has always stuck out to me.

The Hoot speech in balck hawk down: "When I get home people 'll ask me, "Hey Hoot, why do ya do it man? Why? Just some war junkie?" Ya know what I'll say? I won't say a goddamn word. Why? They won't understand. They won't understand why we do it. They won't understand that it's about the men next to you, and that's it. That's all it is. "

This scene always flet way over done to me... Didnt care for it at all.

Anyways what are your favortie "Bad parts in a good movie?"

I like The Patriot, but this exchange:

Benjamin: May I sit with you?
Charlotte: It's a free country - or at least, it will be.

...always makes me groan.

The end of the Hulk. Enjoyed the movie, didn't enjoy that ending.

Also, I never liked those bookends on Saving Private Ryan.

Most of Quentin Tarantino's screen time in Pulp Fiction.

The part in Pulp Fiction that makes me cringe the most is when Wolf (Keitel) is with his daughter or niece (Raquel?) at the junkyard place and he throws out some just awful joke and she displays one of the worst acting jobs I have ever seen when all she has is 1 line. It makes me cringe everytime.

I agree. They should have replaced this with the Dick Miller deleted scene.

the scenes with Annette Bening in "Open Range" are the most recent example for me.

That last third of Hulk and Van Helsing. Yep. I thought Van Helsing was actually decent until they got into the whole deal of him being bitten and Frank swinging around on the wires.
Didn't like Legolas doing his skateboard bit in LOTR:TTT either. While cool, it really could have taken a lot of people out of the movie.

Oh man, good call. Especially the ending, "I gotta lot of love built up inside.." Ughhh....

I would also nominate the Peter/MJ dialog scenes from both Spider-man films.

And I LOVE the cheesy demon crumbling from Evil Dead, especially that little green worm that comes out. Classic!

M Night's horrible acting in Signs. Why did he let himself be in a movie along side such a stellar cast? Surely he must have known that he would look like crap compared to them.

It's worse than that. After his "they won't understand that it's about the men next to you, and that's it. That's all it is." he rebuffs Hartnett's offer to join him with "Nah, I work better alone."

Laughable. Frankly, the film has several substantial writing deficiencies and a few pretty lackluster performances as well. That film is all about the action sequences.

The whole scene where the bride visits that mexican? pimp in Kill Bill Vol. 2 was indulgent crap in my opinion.

Spiderman, when that dude said something like "You mess with him you mess with all of us" while throwing cans at the Goblin. I know this was New York spirit, but it just bugs me. Same thing with Spiderman 2, "If you want him you'll have to go through us". Give me a break. Sheese.

Actually, this is an interesting case. As he wrote it, it's pretty innocuous. Nobody would take anything from that. But by suggesting that his reply is meaningful, your reply has made it a spoiler. Fascinating. Maybe you should tag your reply...

Yeah, that was added in at the last minute because of 9/11.

I personally don't like the 'preview' of Back To The Future III at the end of Part II, they should have had a trailer or something at the end of the credits instead. Kind of takes away from that whole 'cliffhanger' ending.

Agreed. Unfortunately, keeping surprises hidden is something movie marketing folks have never done well.

Top Gun, near the end at the ceremony, when the commander calls Wolfman's name or whoever, he snaps his head
The big 80's sunglasses in Top Gun look pretty bad as well, maybe they use CGI to change them or something.
