Legend: Which score do you like better?

Jerry Goldsmith is one of the greatest composers ever, but there's something about his score for Legend I didn't like. Like it's too happy fairy taily. I prefer the Tangerine Dream score. It adds more of a dark feel to the movie. Is it just because I grew up watching this version? The Director's cut makes more sense, but the music ruins it for me. I don't know, what do you think?

I prefer Tangerine Dream's score. It almost didn't fit the movie but then again it did and I thought that was a cool thing.

I watched the director's cut and it was the worst Ridley Scott film I've ever seen. So maybe the theatrical version is better.

I grew up with the Tangerine Dream version and the Goldsmith, while good, seems rather loud and fanfare like for what is being shown on screen.
The TD music seems more appropriate IMO.

Pixy gave my answer. Goldsmith is one of the greatest, but I grew up with Tangerine Dream and their score is more...umm...."dreamier" and fits the entire "theme" of the flick, IMO.

However, i'm glad Universal gives me the option to choose.

Tangerine Dream!!!!!!

The film is practically unbearable with the Goldsmith Score.

I really wanted the TD Score remixed for DD5.1/DTS audio.

Totally! It would have been awesome if the theatrical got the same audio treatment as the Directors Cut.
