Re: Movie Title Help

She has asked at least 10 times now, "Does anyone know yet?" and "Is there somewhere else you can ask?"

Sigh.

Re: Movie Title Help

She's probably confusing eight different movies.

"This movie had Tom Hanks and was from before 1940"

Re: Movie Title Help

Could it be the 1957 version of A Farewell to Arms? The woman is a nurse, not a teacher though, and she's not Italian but it takes place in Italy.

I almost posted that very thing two days ago.

Also DD, try stuff like this, when on a blind search, you never know which avenue will pay off.

Similar search on IMDB will yield more films, but may help you if you filter by decade.

The only thing she seems to be 100% sure of is that SHE was an Italian school teacher and HE was an American.
