I think it's a horribly directed motion picture. Foxx's performance in it is pretty strong, though. But after seeing it in the theaters, I've never had the desire to view it again.

I sense a trend here - people that don't watch football enjoyed it. Maybe people that watch more football didn't like it? As I recall the football action was just too way-over-the-top.

I'm a big football fan, both watching and playing, and enjoyed it.

One of my best friends loves this film yet he never watches football, could care less about the game and thinks it's a waste of time watching it.

Myself... I run a fantasy league, attend several games a year, watch as many games as I can, etc... And I hated this film. Dreck. That said, I don't usually care much for Stone's movies, JFK is really the lone exception.

I liked the film.

I fall into this category as well.

I like football and thought this movie was well made. Not Stone's best (JFK , IMO), but definitely not his worst (hopefully that will remain Alexander).

I didn't like this movie. In retrospect, it seemed like a three and half-hour rap video.

I also do not enjoy professional football.

I also loved the intensity and camera angles. I just didn't really care for the story. But the movie was entertaining.
