boogeyman

Good horror flick! Felt like yet another Evil Dead movie... the opening sequence really gets you, and the pace keeps going... the end was a little so-so.... but overall pretty spookey.

Has anyone else seen it yet? thoughts?

Happy horror-ing!

Haven't seen it but can't wait to see it. I'm all over this one.

How about a little more detail without any spoilers?

I'm might be going saturday, but the only review so far is at
http://www.bloody-disgusting.com and they gave it 2/5. They say it is still a fun little film, but has too many problems. Good for atleast bringing your girlfriend....

I thought the trailer was pretty blah, seemed like a paint by numbers Darkness Falls retread (which itself was a retread of countless films, but enjoyable for what it was). However, what's turned me to really wanting to see this movie are the commercials. Some of the commercials have been just creepy.

Here's hoping...

I loved the pace. My audience was all into the movie. They were scream all over the place. Only thing I dont like about horror films is that there is always one fucker that likes to give comentairies. Dont be afraid to go managerment. In my experience saying shsshh doesnt work. As for the ending, I didnt undstand it. It seemed liked the writers ran out time to develop a ending that was with the current pace. It seemed liked they just slapped on that ending to get the movie made.

the ending was definitely a let down, IMO.... it just kinda had a standard horror ending; definitely kinda "slapped on there", as Catch 21 said.

I saw this one movie once that had the boogeyman in it. At the end of it the army had him trapped in a closet that they cut out of a house. Yeah it was strange.

Of course they screamed, ALL the film does is throw Boo! scares left and right.

You didn't understand the ending? That's amazing. I didn't understand the entire movie. So yay on you.

It was good until the last 10 mins... thats when it became the usual CGI we dont know how to end it kinda film. The whole lead up was good though. I enjoyed that. Worth at least a matinee if your a horror nut.

Based on the trailers, I have this to say:

"I liked it better when it was called A Nightmare on Elm St."

Seriously, this movie looks awful, nothing compared to NOES.

I said from the trailers. A young person is tormented in their dreams by the boogeyman. Essentially that is NOES.

I'm sure the story is much different, but I got an impression of being a knockoff from the trailers.

Yeah, I agree. There were a few parts that were genuinely creepy though.

I really didn't understand a lot of this movie either. I was thinking it as alright until the end. Crappy CG did nothing to help this film. Would it have been that hard to put some make-up on a real person?

Also, I at first liked the directing style of the film, but after a while it kind of got annoying… How many times can you show a door knob in a film?

If thats the case then they screwed up on the trailers... the boogeyman never haunted him in his dreams, it was all during the day and night while he was awake. Guess someone was trying to sell it as something it wasnt.

I saw the film tonight.

I still have no fucking clue what I just saw.

It was just a quickly paced 80 minute film with scares and jump scenes.

If anyone can tell me what the plot of the film was, I'd like to be informed. Thank you.

[At least it wasn't as bad as White Noise.]

saw the film tonight.

didn't think it was too bad, I enjoyed the first half of the movie a lot more than the 2nd half. had a lot of neat scares.

also I do agree the ending seemed kind of tacked on. all in all not an amazing film, but I enjoyed it none the less.

I saw the film and thought it was okay...I kind of like the end where they were jumping from place to place. The resolution was kind of a head scratcher. But address your point, did you see the movie? I'm not attacking you, but coming from the pov of someone who saw the movie, I don't really see how adding some gore/nudity/blood would have added to the story, nor did it feel like any of those elements had been chopped to save a rating (well the bath scene, but its not like a boob would have changed the movie).
