Of course for Bond fans like me, film grosses don't enter into it. I've seen every Bond since The Spy Who Loved Me at a movie theater on opening weekend. I can't imagine a scenario where I wouldn't see a Bond film in a theater, no matter what the reviews. Like the recent Star Wars films, it's not so much about expecting a great film (I don't), but rather I have so much invested in the franchise now, I just want to see what comes next.
Having said that, Brosnan deserves a lot of credit for reviving the franchise and should have been treated a lot better than he has by the Broccollis.
I hope the next Bond is the Oscar-nominated Owen. Jackman, McGregor and especially the wooden Dougray Scott seem bad fits for me.

I'm sorry. This makes zero sense to me. The biggest no-brainer in the history of the franchise is to release a Bond film in 2007. I'd re-think that one if I were them.

Agreed, GE is my favorite PB Bond movie. Using CASINO ROYALE as the theme for the next Bond movie is a great move. If they get the actor to play Bond, this could turn out to be one of the best Bonds ever.

Four thumbs up.

The MGM/Sony deal is probably a big factor in getting this out ASAP.
