Walken is a poor man's Michael Caine in that regard.

I want to turn on HBO one night and see Bickle driving in one of those "Taxi Cab Confessions" spots. I'm surprised SNL didn't do that with him.

If what happened at the end of Heat didn't happen. I sure would have loved to seen a sequel to it.

The nice thing about Caine is that he freely admits taking the shitty roles strictly for the $$$.

If what happened at the end of Heat didn't happen that film would have been useless.

There's no way possible you could have a sequel for Heat.

I know. Wouldn't it be great though if there was? A film like that. Hell, I just didn't want to end.

I hope they never even consider making a sequel for this film.

Don't get me wrong it's my favorite film of all time but....

-Pacino/DeNiro were perfect foils for each other. The cat and mouse game was executed to near perfection.
-I'm sure the sequel would involve Hanna chasing after somebody in the same plot which just wouldn't live up the first one.
-Whoever they got to play his nemesis would probably pale in comparison to DeNiro's Neil.

Ttroystiffler, how could you not like Men of Honor and Billy Sunday?

What about the scene where he and Cuba fill up their masks with water and see who could hold their breaths the longest ?

if they made the sequel to Taxi Drive, will he revist the adult theater and remember the great date he had with Cybil Shephard?

If there is a scene/dialogue in a sequel that explains what happened between the previous and current film, it's called the seguel. (segue + sequel)

Taxi Driver 2

What a stupid Hollywood-type idea!
Idiotic if you ask me.
