Kingdom of Heaven:since when was this made?

Saw a preview for this tonight with Phantom of the Opera and it took me completely by surprise.

What's strange is that I work in a college textbook store and I was unloading a bunch of books about the crusades with neat looking pics. on the covers. I looked at them and thought "these would make a nice movie, especially if someone like Ridley Scott directed it".
Needless to say I was stunned when I saw a preview for a movie about the said subject matter, with Ridley Scott at the helm! I can honestly say I had NO prior knowledge of this flick until tonight, and that is weird because I typically keep up with Ridley Scott's projects. Looks interesting, my only gripe is that they felt the need to once again cast Orlando Bloom in an epic.

Enough of Legolas already!

Orlando Bloom's the real deal. Much like Colin Farrell he won't disappear into obscurity.

Wonder when we'll get an epic that stars Orlando Bloom, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law? The three most overexposed imports in Hollywood.

I wouldn't say that. They've already got a new guy doing the 7-up commericials.

Just cause they won't dissappear doesn't mean they're the real deal.

Ha, yes it does. Movie star doesn't mean great actor. But I'm pretty sure he's right that Farrell and Bloom will continue to be movie stars for quite some years ahead. You can hate them all day long. I could care less about Julia Roberts, but as a movie star, she's the real deal. I'd agree that it's the same with these blokes.

Of course, what I really want to know is...where's the trailer! I've seen nothing on this movie, so I'm quite curious to see what it looks like.
