List of highest paid actresses
Excuse me, female actors.
Julia Roberts - $20 million per film
Cameron Diaz - $20 million - For what? Shrek would've hit without her.
Nicole Kidman - $15 million
Reese Witherspoon - $15 million
Drew Barrymore - $15 million - How did she get up here?
Halle Berry - $14 million - Expect this # to go down.
Sandra Bullock - $12-$15 million
Angelina Jolie - $12-$15 million
Renee Zellweger - $12 million
Jennifer Lopez - $12 million
Can any of the above open a movie on name alone?

Julia Roberts definately can. Reese seems to be donig ok with the rom com genre too, but she hasn't been around too long so it's hard to say.
We gotta remember that often times these women are in lower budget movies as opposed to the action spectacles. When their films make 50-100 million dollars, they're successes. J Lo with many of her films had some good succeses, like Wedding Planner and Main in Manhattan. Then you have Julia who can push grosses anywhere from 70-150 for her films.
Again, like most actors it really does depend on the movies they do. None of them can just do any movie and have lots of people show up, but barely any male actors can claim that either.
Barrymore had some succeses though with Charlie's Angels and Wedding Singer then Fifty First Dates. Plus she's a producer on the CA flicks. Granted two of those were Adam Sandler movies but Hollywood gives her some credit on those. She made something like 60 million off the CA movies.

I'd say Julia Roberts & Reese Witherspoon. Sure there have been some underperformers but the majority of their movies do really well when the movie is billed as a 'Julia' or 'Reese' movie.

Most of these on the list are not actresses but personalities. To think that Julia Roberts is on the top of the list says a llot about Hollywood.
Where's Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchette. Too amazing actresses and they dont even make the list.
So it all comes out to who looks the sexiest not who is the best actress.
