Tim Allen's presence may save the boxoffice for this film. People underestimate his appeal that continues even to this day from the old Home Improvement days. Even if the movie is crap (which it looks like it most certainly is) it will open big. However, it will be interesting to see what word of mouth does.

I saw it, and it was a forgettable, below average, sappy Christmas flick. It wasn't a classic, and it wasn't anything I'll remember years from now either, and that's that, heh. It was so lacking though, it was almost sad that it was so below average.

The odd thing though, is that at the end of the film, it got a STANDING OVATION. Yes, you heard me right. After it was over, the people in the crowd (it was packed tight also) actually stood up, and cheered and clapped.

I was just...amazed. I can't put into words how shocked I was at that.

Not among my top tier of Christmas flicks, that's for sure.
