I would have to give a slight edge to The Iron Giant.

while the Iron giant is great, I still loved the incredibles more simply because I am a comic book nerd.

In terms of content and tone, they are not very comparable. One is an action/comedy (with some philosophical undertones) and the other is a philosophical film with some action and comedy.

OK, they are comparable.

But Iron Giant made me cry, and that is rarer than making me laugh, so I voted for Iron Giant.

It's been a couple of years since I saw IG. I will come back and vote when I get my copy next week. Tough choice.

I am the biggest comic book nerd on this board (which isn't exactly something to be proud of), but I still have to go with Iron Giant.

And for the record The Incredibles is the very first Pixar movie I actually liked. Actually it's the first one I didn't even fall asleep through.

No contest - from a storytelling standpoint, The Iron Giant was far superior.

Incredibles. Iron Giant is good, but a little too kid-focused for me.

That's tough. Iron Giant really struck a nerve with me as one of the greatest animated flicks of all time. The Incredibles was pretty damn good as well, but I didn't have the same emotional response to it. I'd have to give ti to Iron Giant.

Incredibles easily for me. Iron Giant is good, but is overrated to me by people on this forum.

Very hard to vote for one over the other:

Iron Giant
1. More of an emotional movie
2. Loved the Superman connections
3. Great ending comment, "You are who you choose to be, Superman". We can do good if choose too.
4. Not really a kids movie
5. Characters were not as fun as The Incredibles, but the were real.

Incredibles
1. Pixar
2. Computer Animated
3. Real married life challenges
4. Loved the "James Bond" kind of music
5. Pro-Family ending

Right now I will give the slight edge to The Iron Giant, but I would like to vote again after The Incredibles come out on DVD.

Thats a tough call and it's like comparing apples and oranges.

They both were fantastic, but the two had completely different plotlines and emotions.

I love them both, so I can't make that call.

If I had kids, this would be like asking me to decide which child I like best. I just can't do it!

180 degrees. Iron Giant has much more mature themes than The Incredibles.

BTW, I would give the first 2 points on The Incredibles as positives for Iron Giant. Not that I don't appreciate the technology, but I appreciate the hand drawn and colored animation more.

Difficult choice. Both are visually amazing, well scripted and acted however, while I love both of these films, I'm gonna have to go with the Incredibles!
