Hmmm......kinda tough without knowing why they might like the movies they own, but................

Brother: Glory (rationale - he seems to like Denzel Washington (Remember the Titans & Training Day); plus movies where you have to battle against adversity (Men of Honor & Remember the Titans))

Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai - can be had for under $5 during the DDD sale.

Miracle (the hockey movie) - it helped my Red Sox beat the Yankees so that alone makes it great.

Sister: The Devil's Backbone (rationale - she seems to be open to Spanish language films (Amores Perros & Sex and Lucia); plus she seems open to horror (Rose Red)

The Crime of Padre Amaro - does your sis like Amores Perros because of the guy in it? He's in this one too. I'm a little hesitant though since it might offend her/your spiritual beliefs.

Rabbit-Proof Fence - nice low-key, real-life, chase film

Either: Zhang Yimou's Hero (comes out on the 30th). Rationale - your brother owns "Iron Monkey" and your sis owns "Crouching Tiger".

City of God - Portuguese language film from Brazil. Imho it is brilliant on all levels. Very gritty but your sis does own "Amores Perros" and your brother likes Tarantino and has "Training Day".

Most of my suggestions skew a little towards the serious side and some could be considered slow by the average viewer. Maybe others can suggest more commercial fare.

"Shawshank Redemption" mentioned earlier is a great recommendation for anyone.
