House Of The Dead 2!

Bloody-Disgusting just reported that House of the Dead 2 will begin filming next year in Los Angeles, minus director Uwe Boll. (Thank god).

Still, whether he directs it or not, is anyone actually wanting this movie?

I don't think there are any takers for this one.

Well, it's one case where I can't imagine they can make a worse film than the original. of course, the original is a classic bad movie, truly one of the funnier pieces of crap to come along in ages.

Without Uwe Boll? This movie actually stands a chance of being good.

Exactly how I feel. I liked this movie & think it will be a cult classic in 10 to 15 years. Bring on Part 2!

This was one of the only horror movies I can remember that I turned off early.

What...shut it off early??? That means you missed the way kewl, bullet-time shots of every single character during the final firefight. You don't know what you're missing!!!

I'm waiting for HOTD to hit the bargain bin so I can finally see it. I can't wait to see that 11,000 cuts within 5 minutes(or whatever) sequence Boll is so damned proud of.

Plus topless Erica Durance.

Haha. To be fair, I don't think Hollywood is even financing this garbage.

"House of the Dead 2"...anyone going to see this on SciFi (2/11)?

It is on tonight at 9pm. While I don't think it can compete with the absolute absurdity of the 1st and it won't and can't have Erica Durance's fine chest on display (as the 1st did), i do dig zombie movies and might have to at least attempt watching the beginning (since the storm of the century is almost upon my area).

anyone else going to check this out?

I watched a DVD screener of this. I'm wondering how SciFi will deal with the full frontal nudity that is shown right before the credits.

Anyway, I'm a huge zombie fan and enjoyed this a lot. I MAY have even liked it better than "Land Of The Dead" which I found disappointing. Could have used more zombies, though, and the campus setting could have been used to more humerous effect.

Still, it was miles better than the last made-for-SciFi movie that I saw, "Painkiller Jane".

I wonder when we will see Return of the Living Dead 4 and 5 on DVD. Sci-Fi released these two in the same fashion, but they have yet to make their way to disc.

You'll like it even better when you see the uncut DVD. The screener that I watched was so much better than the highly edited first 15 minutes that I watched tonight. I didn't bother watching any more, but I've got to figure that it was just as badly cut the whole way through.

Part 4 comes out April 18th. Not sure about part 5 (although I would suspect not far after, if not the same day).

I'm kind of sorry I skipped it now.

Part one was such a train wreck, I didn't bother with it. Did it use the stupid shots from the video game at all?

I DVR'd it... Probably get around to it today, previews didn't look bad (but I guess that's their job).

no. there really nothing to discern this as a sequel to the 1st. it really was just any generic zombie movie that could have been called anything in the world.

Not true. The connection is explained at the end.

Pretty stupid, despite Sid Haig and Nadine Velazquez ("Catalina" from My Name is Earl).
