For anyone that's interested you can catch the new Ring 2 trailer on E! tonight at 7:00.

Yeah, I know the irritation it causes.

It's just easier than specifying since so many people still consider Ring to be The Ring or the original Ring or hell Ring Virus. So dammit, I just use the bastardized title.

I generally just say "Japanese Ring" and "American Ring". For Ring 2 and Ring 0, well, I try not to talk about them. :)

No, no, my point is that Verbinski was good, but this film will probably be even better because Nakata's directing it. And because it's not based on the Japanese Ring 2.

I just noticed that on the official site, the name "Hideo Nakata" pops up on the screen for a second.

There's a prequel in Japan, called Ring 0. It's the life of Sadako through the events that lead to her death. If the Japanese Ring 2 is only half good, Ring 0 is utterly unwatchable.

Of course! Those movies are HORRIFYING!! I could barely finish the Astronaut's Wife.

But it's not a Japanese word. "Ringu" is the Japanese pronounciation of an English word, so hearing native English speakers pronounce it that way is just bizarre. :lol:
