The absolute WORST! Ewoks or Jar Jar?

The title says it all. I haven't seen ROTJ in a very long time. Even as a kid I hated the furry little B@$+@RD$! As an adult, I hate Jar Jar maybe even more though. Yousa SUCK Jar Jar!

Jar-Jar plagued one movie.

Ewoks plagued the eighties.

No contest.

Give me an Ewok, a Jar Jar....and a Red Stripe - heck, I'd be a chick magnet!

I voted "Neither". I don't really understand the venom towards the Ewoks (I kind of like 'em actually), and Jar Jar is way down my complaint list when it comes to that movie.

Jar Jar. Only because the way he talked was stupid. If he couldn't talk, I'd have to pick the Ewoks.

Tough question though.

Jar jar, I mean the Ewoks at least managed to take down highly trained Stormtroopers with rocks and sticks and in a big plus couldn't talk in a bad Jamaican accent.

It's now 19 to 1 (dis)favoring Jar-Jar.

The Ewoks were silly plot devices. Jar-Jar was a plot destroyer. He was so thoroughly distracting that concentrating on anything else in the movie was impossible.

I have a special hate for Ewoks. When I was 10 all I wanted for Christmas was a cool Star Wars toy. My friends had all the cool stuff like the AT-AT and DeathStar. I was hoping for at least an X-wing or something...but what do I get? The Ewok Village. A damn plastic miniature tree house.

I shouldn't have been surprised, my parents always seemed to twist my Christmas wish list. Technically they got the right thing, but in the worst way. Like when I wanted Transformers and got Dynobots.

Regardless, I voted Jar Jar. I can still recognize true evil.

Jar Jar is more grating and annoying than the Ewoks could've been. I think this is a universal truth, even to the casual observer. 10 out of 10 people pulled off the street would say that Jar Jar was more annoying, unless those people were 4 years old.

Well, I was 8 years old when Jedi came out, so I was right in the age group that they were marketed to. I actually kinda liked them, and wouldn't have minded being given an Ewok village for Christmas.

Jar Jar, on the other hand, was too hella annoying for my 22-year-old self.

Ewoks and that stoopid yub-yub song destroyed my Star Wars fascination. One good thing came out of the '97 special editions was deletion of the yub-yub song. It makes jedi atleast bareable.

No Contest. its Jar Jar for sure. Probably the worst character created in a long time and was the main reason I find TPM unwatchable.

I just had to vote for Jar Jar. The reason being that Lucas said very early on he was making these movies for young people. For whatever reason, Wookies did not connect with young people the way he wanted them to. I think that might be one reason he decided to go with Ewoks in Episode 6 instead of a world of Wookies. The world of Wookies died with the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Jar-Jar on the other hand is just a horrible character, hated by not only older fans (as if Lucas cares, since he isn't making the movies for older people), but also with kids. I know some kids just love Jar-Jar, but he never caught on with kids exactly the way the Ewoks did. He was an experiment in a new movie and the experiment failed miserably.

I vote Jar Jar as the worst. I like teddy bears that kick ass and carry weapons. It wasn't the ewoks' fault that Gearge decided to give them a stupid TV special.

Jar Jar reminds me too much of an anorexic Miss Cleo, only her fake Jamaican accent was much, much better than Jar Jar's.

I guess you never heard of Vietnam, which as far as weaponry goes, was about as one-sided as it gets.

Jar-Jar easily! Never understood the venom and hatred towards the ewoks. Let's see how long you last with a bunch of furry animals whacking you with big stones, sticks, and hatchets. All they did was help Han, Leia, Chewy, and a dozen or so rebel troops hold off the storm troopers so they could destroy the shield generator. The rebellion defeated the Empire in the space battle, and across the galaxy.

I think that might be one reason he decided to go with Ewoks in Episode 6 instead of a world of Wookies.
Actually, he didn't use wookies for a number of reasons. The number one reason was budget. Time constraints was another reason. Also, 7+ foot tall extras were not all that common. So he created Chewy instead. If he had used wookies on Endor, there would have been no Chewy.

Jar Jar by a mile. I never had a problem with Ewoks that much. They didn't ruin an entire movie. I firmly believe if you take Jar Jar out of TPM, its a decent movie.

You know the North Vietnemese Army (and to a lesser exten the Viet-Cong) were well trained with decent supplies of decent guns and explosives. It wasn't that one sided.
