This is an interesting question. Would I select items from movies that I love, regardless of worth; or would I select items from movies that I don't love but mostly because they're historic?

For instance, I like the Star Trek movies, but I'm not nuts for them. I do recognize the lasting effect on pop culture they have had, so would I select, say, a phaser or tricorder over the steamer trunk from It's a Wonderful Life?

If I recall correctly Steven Spielberg actually owns Rosebud.
I also had the opportunity to purchase the "Original Family Truckster" from National Lampoons Vacation. A neighbor of my brothers in Indianapolis owned it and he actually won a prize on "Bob & Tom Show" for owning the most unique thing. It had the Wally World sticker and everything. He would take it around fairs and such and charge for polaroids by it. I believe they actually used three trucksters from the movie but this was the number one, when it was brand new. and seen alot on screen. It was even signed on the dash by Chevy Chase. I think I could have had it for @ $5,000 some 8-9 years ago. I am still kicking myself in the ass for not getting it but I couldn't afford it.
The Maltese Falcon is my obvious choice ( i think sold recently for around $65,000)
