Hey, those three films will net the guy about 100 million in acting fees.
He's doing something right.

The fact that ALL Tucker does are these rather obvious and mindless "action comedies" (and NOTHING ELSE in between) fills me with the opinion that he's lazy and greedy and has no work ethic. Hell, Harrison Ford made a lot of movies between Indy adventures. Did he have to? No. He sure didn't need the money. But he's an actor.
Tucker is a "Rush Hour" prop.

Do you follow Tucker's charity work in Africa? It doesn't sound like it.

It's artistically bankrupt, but smart business. He's doing something few other actors of his stature can do: convincing studios that he's worth huge paydays for little effort.
Either way, I thought our personal opinions were welcome in an open forum. But considering who it is we're talking about, I'll just retire from this thread and avoid your next snippy retort.

Snotty? All I did was reply to your post in disagreement. I was debating your posts with opposing ideas and proof. How is that snotty? Because I might be right about Tucker? *shudders* We can't have that now, can we...
So my personal opinions aren't allowed? Is that your decision to make? I realize you're DVDTalk's new toy and everything, but you should expect retorts when you make wild, unsubstantiated claims laden with incendiary vocabulary.
... and you call me snippy.

Guess he didn't sign after all:
While the trade previously reported that Chris Tucker was expected to sign a $20 million deal which would fast-track New Line's Rush Hour 3, the actor ended up not doing so.
