Which of Cruise's performances is best?

A veeery close tie between A Few Good Men and Jerry Maguire, but I had to vote Jerry.

I say Vanilla Sky, even though he was pretty much playing himself.

Why isn't Vanilla Sky up there? or Taps?

No Top Gun?

I'm gonna go with Magnolia. The scene where he's being interviewed is incredible.

A poll of his worst performance wouldn't be a bad idea.

You Tom Cruise is good and all his films. It's hard to pick a best...Born on the Fourth of July, A Few Good Men, Rain Man, Interview with the Vampire, and even The Last Samurai he was really good in. I guess my vote will have to go with Interview with the Vampire.

I went with Born on the Fourth as his best, though i really liked his performance in Vanilla Sky.

Maguire

Cruise is one of my favorite actors and cannot wait to see "Collateral" tomorrow. I went with "Magnolia" which I think he does such a wonderful and powerful job. His character goes from a funny seminar speaker, to an intense interview scene and to the emotional unraval of his character at the end the film, such a memorable performance.

I voted Born on the 4th of July (though that's not my favorite Cruise film).

I'd go with Rain Man, but I am curious to know why Top Gun is not in this poll? :hscratch:
