Had to vote for Before Sunrise, since it's set in Vienna (where I'm from)

Dazed and Confused. For my money, the best high school movie ever made.

Edit: I've only seen Slacker and School of Rock as well, so what do I know.

1) Dazed and Confused is one of my top 3 movies of all time.

2) Slacker - I watched it w/o knowing a thing about it and it completely blew me away.

3) Before Sunrise - Love this movie and this is the first movie my wife and I ever saw at the theater together while dating, and completely agreed to seeing. She wanted to see Ethan, and I had to see Linklater's latest.

I'd say Before Sunrise and Sunset with Tape coming in Third.

I voted for Waking Life, although we currently have Before Sunset at the theatre I work at, and it's pretty wonderful.

Dazed and confused without a doubt.

ok, in order:

01. dazed and confused
02. before sunrise
03. school of rock
04. subUrbia
05. slacker
06. tape
07. waking life
08. the newton boys

suburbia would have fared even better had it starred the original cast from the show.

I went with Before Sunrise, no doubt.

"Daydream, delusion, limousine, eyelash / Oh baby with your pretty face / Drop a tear in my wineglass / Look at those big eyes / See what you mean to me / Sweet-cakes and milkshakes / I'm delusion angel / I'm fantasy parade / I want you to know what I think / Don't want you to guess anymore / You have no idea where I came from / We have no idea where we're going / Latched in life / Like branches in a river/ Flowing downstream / Caught in the current / I'll carry you / You'll carry me / That's how it could be / Don't you know me? / Don't you know me by now? "

A little off topic, but does anyone know when Before Sunset is coming out on DVD? It came and went in an eyeblink here and I never got to see it.

Dazed and Confused. School of Rock wasn't terrible, but wasn't as good as people told me. I don't like any of the other ones I've seen. He has the distinction of most movies I've turned off before the end (Slacker, Waking Life, Before Sunrise).

Having only seen Dazed and Confused and School of Rock, I would say that Dazed and Confused is my favorite.

I voted for Before Sunset, because I think Linklater is a rarity among directors - he comes up with more interesting material over time, as opposed to using up all his creative juices on the first feature or two.

Then again, Waking Life was such a different direction - something truly new - that it's hard to discount it.

I voted for Before Sunrise, but I also like Dazed and Confused and Waking Life as well. I haven't seen Before Sunset yet; I'll probably wait for the DVD.
