With all I've lost on Shrek 4 lately, I know I this is a mistake, but I'm going to bet the farm on it. With the weekend stocks being unhalted later and this low price, it would certainly seem poised for a decent bump today. Either that or I'll go from gaining 34% last week to losing 34% this week.

I shed a tear when I saw White Castle's Friday numbers. I had 10,000 on the Put and shorted the Call, but I just wasn't sure enough. It seemed so likely to thrive after the reviews it was getting and the fact that there just haven't been many teen comedies as of late. I decided to sell both the options about five minutes before they were halted... I need Shrek 4 to jump to a new high to take that pain away when I see the estimates for it later today.
You made the right decisions on the Puts and Calls for HKGWC so these should payoff big for you.

I think SHRK4 should go up also although I have lost some more on it today because I was wrong

Yeah, it just seems to keep going down. Best I can do at this point, after losing so much in it, is keep telling myself it has to go up eventually... Been saying that since it was at $88, and it's at $78 now.

Me, too. This whole week has been shitty, so it's nice to see that the weekend didn't miss a beat either.

It's just a game... sucks to lose money but it's just a game

Hopefully, what goes down, will come back up.

heee. pretty much. Think of it as the stock market. You want to buy hot items before they become hot and you want to sell them at their peak.

Today so far has been a pretty good day. Up 200k. I'm going to be taking the hit tomorrow on The village and Manchuan cand. ouch ouch ouch. Man, Village was only 800k over the call price. Tough weekend to call it.

I am clinging to 22 million so far with a few stocks up and some big hits. I am going to hold onto TBIRD since at this point how much lower can it go. I figure if it does even ok numbers it should beat the delist price. The good thing is that the theater count should stay the same for the next weekend at least which gives me a better chance of making more than $7.98

I hope to make some money on VILLG

Ugh, Shrek 4 is down almost 10% (As is my entire portfolio) in the last couple of hours. Make it stop!

Yep

Went out to see a movie and lost a few hundred thousand. I hate not being able to play the reset.

I am amazed to be slightly up since most of my stocks went down

SHRK4 has to be killing a lot of your accounts if you thought it would go up after falling $10 below it's IPO price.

what goes down will go up.

I never worry about those things.

At some point all those who are shorting it will start covering and it will fly up again.

Of course the worse I could ever lose is 3 million so it is not like a shorted stock where there is no cap on how much you lose.

The risk you take when you decide to buy something is losing it all if the stock goes down.

SHRK is on it's way back up. I picked up a little (~H$600,000) at $70.67.

It's got to keep going up...

It should. Those who were shorting it probably are now covering and buying it which should drive the price up some.

Of course what goes up will come down

At least I made it back over 22 million again. I wish I did not need to go to work tomorrow since I have better days when I can watch stocks during reset.

I hope I can hit 23 million by tomorrow.

my last edit

I am now in the black for the week

Of course that assumes that all my stocks stay up

moved over 23 million so now on to 24 million

So far I am finally back in black

Edit:

Had a great day and made over $1.1 million. I figure I have a chance to hit $24 million by tomorrow and maybe with a bunch of luck $25-26 million by the end of this weekend.

I picked up ~ $600,000 worth of SHRK at ~ $75, it's down to $68.33. I'll be keeping an eye on that one.

By the way, it looks like the party at DRACE is over, it's slowly sliding down to where it belongs (probably end up in the H$2 range). It's currently at H$3.88, my last move on that one was to short 50,000 shares at $5.33. Out of the H$1 million profit I've made, I'd say that over half of that is from buying and shorting DRACE.

who am I missing I wonder.

Looks like 80 is right since we add 1 to the 79 we started the week with.

I inched over 24 million

I sold a bunch of stocks thinking they had topped out and they still are moving. I missed out on around $300K

I too have 80.

So is anyone going long on the weekend openers?

I personally just bought up 15K of Collateral. I was also considering shorting Little Black Book when it bounces back tomorrow. It seems like Collateral is going to own this weekend with The Village suffering a big drop-off. Thoughts?
