I really don't understand the point of this thread. There are lots of people who haven't seen lots of different movies. SO WHAT? I could probably list 20 people who haven't seen Fight Club and a few who haven't seen Jaws.

I have around 250 DVDs and I love movies, but I have not seen some of the huge box office mainstream films, nor do I have any desire to see some of them. The more I hear about how great these are and see how much money they make, the less I want to see them.

For example, I have not seen:
Titanic (1997)
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Shrek (2001)
Chicago (2002)
Finding Nemo (2003)
The Passion of the Christ (2004)
Shrek 2 (2004)

I've never seen Fight Club nor have I ever seen Gone With the Wind. But I can quote Citizen Kane, The Wizard of OZ, The Godfather, MP and the Holy Grail and Fistful of Dollars at the most inappropriate times. :-) So?

hell, I know of ex-dvd talk members who have never seen fight club.

There's at least one current member who fits this category as well.

What the hell is wrong with people?
Absolutely nothing wrong at all, at least from what I can tell based on this thread.

So exactly what is it about the way they look that one would EXPECT them to have seen Fight Club or Jaws??

I wish I hadn't seen Fight Club. Point at me and laugh :(

OldBoy 07-29-04 06:55 PM

why the hell would a girl like or have seen "Fight Club"? it really isn't a movie for girls. FC was a bomb, so many didn't see it then and probably haven't seen it since and are none the wiser. Sure we love it and it is an incredible movie, but...
You must have lost any shot of anything with her with a jaw drop like that. Plus, who cares? to each is own. And if you haven't seen "Jaws" then you haven't. I am an avid movie fan and love movies to death, having saved every movie stub for every movie I have ever seen since the early 80's. I only saw "Jaws" for the first time, on DVD, about 2 years ago. So big deal.

Will posting pictures help illustrate your point somehow? Are your co-workers wearing "I've never seen Jaws" t-shirts?

I know plenty of girls who have seen Fight Club. In fact, all the girls I know who have seen it have liked it. Maybe you should start associating with females in real life before making stupid generalizations?

Please help clarify the "I've seen Fight Club" look for us with pictures...

C'mon man, we're all curious! What's that special something, that look, that twinkle in a girl's eye that makes you think... "Hey... I bet that chick's seen FIGHT CLUB". :)
