Best unemployment movie...

I'd have to say The Big Lebowski because The Dude is the hero of the story, all while being gainfully unemployed.

The worst has to be the John Cusack disaster 'Money For Nothing'. God was that an awful movie (the main character was struggling for work, basically unemployed).

I'd have to go with Albert Brooks' "Lost in America."

Another vote for Bicycle Thief.

I also liked Mondays in the Sun (2002), a very good Spanish film.
