I just got back from the Incredibles (which was VERY good btw) and of course the teaser was attatched as well too bad I had to sit through a trailer for "Son of the Mask" yeeccchhh. I was already excited for Episode III this just makes it WORSE. Im hoping that Williams re-scores "Duel of the Fates" for this movie . Oh man May is already shaping up to be great!

Some cool things in it, but the effects still makes it look like a video game or a cartoon! Especially the vader shot looks cg!!
But otherwise

Just got back as well and man oh man THAT looked good on the big screen.

I think there should be a limit on how many times people can complain "it looks too cgi" in ANY movie. Not just Star Wars.

Please refer to your bonus disc of the Star Wars Trilogy for concrete proof that Vader isnt CG but everything else around him is.

Well I just don't understand why Lucas couldn't build a set for that shot! But yes I think CG is killing cinema, sometimes....

I went to the midnight showing of Incredibles, and it wasn't attached either. However, I called the theater earlier during the week and they confirmed it was going to be at that showing. Quite a few people stayed after the movie to complain about it.

oh yeah Maul did have those eyes, but he was an alien, also.
Maul is not an alien...he was a human with tatooes...all Sith have the crazy red eyes...look at the Emperor in ROTJ

btw...I've watched this trailer about 25 times...its glorious!

Liked the Anakin with the eyes, Sidious with the saber, C3P0 and R2D2 on the tentative VI, the ship on fire with the firebrigade comming...
Didn't like the R2D2 cg shot, the Vader rising shot( everything around him was clearly cg!) and Yoda still looks a little bad.

I'll give you that, PopcornTreeCt. But in the first two prequels (Episode II in particular) it's made prettty obvious that Jedi no longer master the Force. I always assumed Yoda just got more adept at using the force in his old age to not require the use of a light sabre. Much like how Sidious fights in the prequels but makes no use of a light sabre in Return of the Jedi. The older they got, the more badass they became.

But I will grant you the bit of pacifism versus agression in the original trilogy. Again, perhaps the two remaining Jedi changed their world view when their role went from guardians to exiles. Afterall, their roles as guardians implies that once in a while they did have to fight, though they'd likely try to avoid confrontation whenever possible.
The age thing doesn't really work with Yoda. He's ~900 years old in Empire, which means he's ~880 in Episode 3. 20 years for a human is a good chunk of their life. For Yoda, it's not much.

However, the reason that Yoda had to fight in Episode II was simple: Dooku had enough control of the force to hold his own in a battle of Force wits.

Watch the treadcrapping. You've been warned enough, if this keeps up I will have no other choice than to have you banned.

Uhhh...they did realize the whole point of the showing was to show The Incredibles right? Not to have a big screen debut of a Star Wars teaser.

[cough] What? Darth Maul is not human, he's a Zabrak. Notice the horns on his head?

I thought the trailer was pretty badass. Anankin with the Darth Maul eyes looked pretty sweet to me. Of course, I'm in the camp that didn't hate the other two prequels, so I guess I don't know what I'm talking about.

Yes, because all us Prequel fans are mindless Lucas ass snifers. We're not real fans of the Original Trilogy. We have no valid opinions.

The trailer was ok, I'm not really a Star Wars fan, but it got me a bit interested.

The thing that shocks me the most tho, is the amount of people on this thread who can't conjugate the word "see" properly. "I seen," "We seen," come on people, this is 5th grade english...it's "I SAW" and "WE SAW." Sorry, I had to say it.

That's the character played by Bruce Spence. Can't remember the name right now.
Spoiler:
Apparently, he helps Obi-Wan with something, despite looking like a baddie.

I thought the teaser was sweet. I don't mind the tie in to the original star wars for the first part of the preview. I think it adds a little more weight to the whole Obi-wan / Anikan story line for people who may not have grown up watching the original trilogy as much as some of the people on this board (like my 15 year old nephew who actually prefers the new ones).

The only thing that sucks about this is that we have to wait another 6 months to see it unfold.

Obi-Wan should refer him to a good dentist for his help. Good dentists are hard to find and it sure looks like Obi-Wan's got some of the best dental care in the galaxy.

Seriously though, I'm sure I'm going to be disappointed by this movie but - damn, when the Emperor's voice asked Vader to rise, I about pooped myself. Maybe if I just watch the trailers and skipped the...

...nahhhh.... who am I kidding. I'll be there opening day.

...it was ok

Looks like another CGI fest (Sidious, Yoda, Wookies, R2, Ships, backgrounds, etc.)

Overall, I'm just looking forward to the Ani/Obi duel.
