I hadn't even heard this was in production. Some timing eh? I've been sort of indifferent to Jamie Foxx in the past, but it looks like he totally nails Ray Charles.

Methinks the bulk of the Academy respected Ray more than Kaufman.

I saw this before I, Robot. It looked decent to me, but I think I'll wait for reviews to come in before I decide whether or not I'm in for it.

...and if Foxx doesn't get nominated its because the academy is racist.

Of course he'll get the nod, Halle and Denzel already "opened up the doors" for him.

I thought this was just going to be a showtime or hbo film, but I'm not surprised to see this released theatrically after seeing that trailer.

I'm excited, especially with the direction of Taylor Hackford. Here's to hoping he doesn't dissapoint like Michael Mann did with Ali.

I saw this in front of I, Robot -- looks pretty good.

Not to be a contrarian, but it looks like the same old "rise, fall, rise again" story that we've seen on stuff like Behind The Music time and time again.

Foxx looks and sounds GREAT, but the trailer itself isn't anything particularly exceptional. The film looks like it could be good and, considering the talent behind it, will probably be.
