Name that movie?
I have a friend who is going nuts trying to figure out the title of a movie she saw recently (which she can barely remember in the first place), and having her talk about it is starting to make me hide until I figure out what it is for her.
Apparently it has a 1984-ish setting with a Big Brother who forces the population to inject some drug that supresses any feelings or emotions. The main character is someone with some clout in this world and when he stops taking the injection, he discovers that there is this whole underground of people who don't supress their emotions with the drug either. These people use their newfound buddy to attempt some sort of coup and take out the person in charge of it all.
That's all she can remember, and it's too vague for me to identify other than through blind luck. Does anyone have any idea what movie this is?
