Looks like no Halle for Xmen3

Not sure how accurate this is, but I read today regarding Halle Berry:

Link
Hollywood North Report is reporting that Halle Berry will not be back for the third Westchester-based mutant movie. According to an insider, "Halle was ready to do X-Men 3 , but only if Storm was given more storyline, but the studio sees the third movie as a means to wrap up the trilogy, and that means Storm won't be featured more than Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. Halle has now passed on the third movie because she's not into bit-parts. She's an Oscar winner and she wants roles that test her." Allegedly, producers are now apparently looking to singer and actress Christina Milian as a possible replacement.
..I dont know, if this is true I would much rather Storm not be in the movie at all, than try and replace her. Not a huge Berry fan, but anyone else in the role wont seem right to me, but well see.

thank goodness. the moment she was demanding storm have a bigger role I wanted her off the cast.

after catwomen bombs hopefully Halle "hit & run"'s career will be going down the crapper even more and those gates she oh so powerfully busted open will be slowly closing once again.

Also, her storm sucked. it sucked badly. It was like nothing that storm should have sounded like.

Boo hoo. Nobody walked out of X-Men saying "Wow Halle did such a good job in that movie." or "Storm was soooo cool in that movie."

Don't replace her, just say she's out running over pedestrians.

Doesn't really matter who plays the role at this point. It's not like Storm was a prominent character in either movie. A change wouldn't even be noticable to the common moviegoer.

I like Halle. I like Cristina. Either way I'll be happy.

I agree she didnt bring much to the films, plus the Storm character doesnt do much for me anyways. I dont like the idea of someone else in the role however, I really hope they just write the character out or something.
On a similar note, Catwoman might not bomb as bad many might think though, although I cant for the life of me see why anyone would see it. I think it may surprise some people, because of the big advertising for it.

Once Catwoman bombs, she will be scraping for the bit roles. Not sorry to see her off of X-Men, but sorry to see she's being such a wench about the whole thing. That's one thing I like about Tom Hanks and some other "big" (no Hanks pun intended there) actors-they don't seem to shy away from smaller roles just because of who they are.

Got a news flash for Halle-Catwoman 2 is a no go.

Well, I won't miss her. Her Storm was just ok, though I agree she shouldn't be replaced. That would be weird.

Now, Halle is getting a lot of flack for this, but I agree with her decision. She's a bigger star, and she has the potential to work on bigger more demanding roles. Sure, she may not be picking the best ones, but why would you want to hang out for 6 months for a bit role and a small part when you can do something much bigger than that. You can hate her all you want, but I don't blame her one bit for bowing out. Honestly, are there any other big stars that take side roles like this? The answer is no. Tom Hanks doesn't do side roles like this...are you kidding me? What movie was that? The last film he took a bit part in was "That Thing You Do" and he directed that movie.

If anything, this opens up space for other characters. Storm is cool, but we might as well get some more mutants while we can.

Oh well, not like they were focusing any part of the story on Storm. The movie doesn't need her.

So she stars in Catwomen?

About X-Men, I don't care. The third movie will be just as good without her. Hopefully they decide to write out Storm instead of replacing her.

I'm still wondering where her non-descript accent went in-between the first two movies. Anyone?

If that article is indeed true, then it just goes to show how big her ego really is. Wolverine is the star of the movie franchise, and no matter how big her role is Wolverine will still be the star. You would think she would be happy to be part of such a wonderful ensemble cast, but no. She has to be the star. Hopefully the impending failure of Catwoman will knock her down a few notches. Now I can look forward to a Halle-less X3, and I'm sure it will be the better for it.

Do you know what happens to a toad when it is struck by lightning?

Same thing that happens to everyone else.

'Nuff said.

Another person here that hopes they don't try and replace her. I'd much rather see them just say Storm is away or back home in Africa rather then cast another actress. Like was said, the major story arc doesn't concern her anyway, and leaving her out would leave more screen time to bring in new character(s).

Even though I hate Halle Berry as Storm, it kinda does F-UP the X-Men Trilogy having two different actresses play the character.

The Storm character has been highly under-used. At this point, they could easily write her out of the storyline (well, techincally they could write everyone 'cept for Logan, as they seem to focus on him.. ). However, if they demand on replacing her, I suggest Angela Basset!

Yea her parts in the X-men movies were really forgettable. Well I hope this means they'll introduce a new mutant.

Please let them introduce a hundred new mutants before they get to the card-throwing Cajun.
