best Marlon Brando performance

Streetcar wouldn't be what it is today if Brando hadn't brought his Stanley Kowalski performance from Broadway to the silver screen.

You know, I understand this is subjective and all, but there is NO WAY that Don Corleone stands up to Kowalski or Terry Malloy.
I voted Malloy (cause it's my favorite Brando film), but in retrospect, it is assuredly Kowalski!
DeNiro was better than Brando in The Godfather saga (no mean feat, but still....)
In all honesty, I believe The Godfather was not in the top 5, which all were filmed before 1962. (Waterfront, Streetcar, Wild One, Young Lions, Mutiny)

Has to be "Streetcar." His performance in that really revolutionized screen acting from that moment on. Even though the focus of the story is on Vivien Leigh's Blanche character (she won Best Actress!), every time Brando's Stanley Kowalski appears on screen, the film becomes even more electric. A performance so ahead of its time. Hard to believe it was a performance that conveyed such sexuality, animal magnetism and raw, naked emotional power.......and, it came out in 1951! I just watched the film last night in tribute, and Brando's performance is even more amazing than I remember. He should have won the Oscar for this role. He lost, btw, to Humphrey Bogart in "The African Queen" (good, solid acting, but not in this same league).

On the Waterfront, my favorite movie of his, and one of my favorite movies ever.

to his amazing career
but he was just reprising his role as the Godfather.
