Anyone know where I can get a ZombAid shirt? I think that they may have been offered via the movie's website (where you do things to get points to redeem for merchandise), but that part of the site is closed now. Didn't see any on ebay. I'm just wondering if they are commercially available anywhere.

Since I'm a total music geek, one of my favorite exchanges was when Shaun and Ed were deciding which records to throw at the zombies.

Ed: "Stone Roses?"
Shaun: "No."
Ed: "It's Second Coming."
Shaun: "I liked that one."

Hilarious.
YES.

The script is packed with stuff like this - a small, throwaway exchange - that helps the whole film. There's something for everyone.

How great was..."Shaun of the Dead"!!

Just watched "Shaun of the Dead" R2 UK edition. All I have to say is..."wow!" I was blown away. It was simply so good. I love zombies flicks and this was the mother of them all. It had heart, soul, and zombie gore. It was such an incredible mix of everything...again...an incredible mix of EVERYTHING. When it was over I actually teared just a little bit because I enjoyed it so much and that last scene while Queen played.

The movie was better than I expected. It was actually suspenseful, which I hardly ever feel for horror movies any more. Maybe it was the audio pushing it a little which is fine because the audio on this kicked a**. The bass was pumping and the music (Queen and others) were perfect. SotD was just so entertaining and that is the perfect characteristic for this movie...entertaining as hell. I finished the movie and cannot wait to see the extras (tomorrow) and then re-watch SotD with the fact track turned on.

anymore recent thoughts?

i've just come from watching "Shaun" for the 2nd time and i can't even get to watch others for a first time and then i watch this twice??, this time with the fact track on. that fact track was so entertaining. all those homages to Romero's films, Carpenter, Fulci, Landis, it was simply fun. just wish i had the where-with-all to catch them all the first time

what a purely fun movie overall!!

Well, I guess I'll go ahead and praise it a second time as well

I must have watched this flick at least 5 times already and that's a lot for a guy who doesn't have much time on his hands. I can't get enough of it and it never gets old.

Brilliant!!!

Guess I need to watch this a second time. Maybe it's a grower.

I liked it the first time but didn't love it. A solid B. My hunch is all the positive acclaim made me expect too much.

But like I said, this might be one of those films that gets better with repeated viewings.

I was in the pub last night.

It's nearly a year since I started getting into the flick... and I'm still selecting "Don't Stop Me Now" on the jukebox.

i watched the extras today and thought the Coldplay bit was histerical, the actor cams were neat, and the plot holes via Oscar Wright's art rendering were great...who knew that
Spoiler:
Diane lived

also. the fact track stating that
Spoiler:
every name rhymed with their fate
was great!

Scott, I don't think anyone knows yet... I'd love to be proved wrong!
Simon and Edgar are getting a good bit of response from other filmmakers over this... who knows what the nex course of action might be...

... personally, I hope they do make From Dusk Til Shaun. Make Ed a vampire!

I saw spaced 1 & 2, and was gutted when i didn't hear about another series being made. Then was told that they were bringing out a zombie flick with some charecters from spaced and directed by simon pegg. Anyway i watched it and was not dissapointed!
It is just what you want from a zombie flick, funny, gory and entertaining!!!

I loved this movie. Even my husband (who normally doesn't like zombie movies) loved it. I still can't hear "Don't Stop Me Now" or "White Lines" without laughing.

In inteviews (including one I did with him) Simon Pegg has been saying that the sequel of Shaun of the Dead will be called From Dusk til Shaun, but instead of a movie it will be done as a graphic novel.

Who knows when it will come out, but when I talked to him in December he and Edgar Wright hadn't gotten past an outline of the next movie, Hot Fuzz.

But in other Shaun comic news, IDW will be publishing an adaptation of Shaun of the Dead, so they may be the frontrunner to publish "Dusk til Shaun." But Robert Kirkman, writer of The Walking Dead comic has said he would like to see Image Comics publish the sequel.

Graphic novels often come with extras, bits of script, character designs, sketches, pin-up galleries. It's that or nothing.

Do any of You Like "Shaun of the Dead"?

Shaun of the Dead is a comedy horror from Britain and it's suprisingly funny. The story concerns the outbreak of a lethal Zombie plague in England, however clueless slobs like Shaun (Simon Pegg) and Ed (Nick Frost) are both oblivious to the growing national crisis.

I thought Shaun of the Dead is a suprisingly decent movie that is very faithful to the classic source material it's paying homage to. Do any of you dig this movie?
