Hands down the funniest movie of the year! Caught a sneak preview of this film tonight and what a ride it was, off the wall dead pan humour, an endearing cast of characters and more gore to shake a stick at than that turid 'Dawn of the Dead' remake, go! no run, to see this movie!! The sold out crowd was completely into this movie, laughs, gasps and screams, we had a ball, an enlightening Q&A with director Edgar Wright, and actors Nick Frost, Simon Pegg followed the screening and needless to say I have to see this again.

Just watched this last night. Fans of British comedy will be in heaven. Not only are the five main characters recognizable faces from Spaced, The Office. and Black Books (Dylan Moran playing a character so very different from Bernard Black it takes a few moments to realize it's him), but there are also several cameos from other recent Britcoms, including an inspired scene where the group meets another group of survivors - consisting of their counterparts from their respective shows. Brilliant.

Just watched this today. Great movie, and the definitely the best of the newer zombie movies, and the best since the original Dawn of the Dead.
I love how the film bends genre every which way. It's a great romance, set against a spoof comedy, with a constant gory horror film going on in the background. Absolutely brilliant.
I easily give this ***1/2 out of ****.

I watched the trailer on Yahoo last night and it looks hysterical. The tone of the movie reminded me of Cemetery Man - lots of gore with brilliant humor.

What other shows were the cameo people from? During the face to face meeting I mean. I noticed the people from Spaced, Black Books, and The Office, but couldn't place the other three people.

Such a very, very, very, very, very, very good film. I'll watch this again tomorrow night.
Fuck it, I'll watch it again right now. It's fried gold all the way!
I doubt it; it's a Focus release in America, so chances are there'll be scant features - we can, however, expect a dts track and (probably) a nicer transfer...

The extras on the R2 DVD are all excellent, and usually hilarious, as well (I imagine they will be ported over for the R1 release).

Then of course, there's always Peter Seranifowhatshisname, who's been in both Spaced and Black Books. As has Nick Frost! And Jessica Stevenson! Gah, where will it all end?

Also, Spaced's Julia Deakin is the older lady in Yvonne's party of survivors... I had to listen to the audio commentary before I recognized her!
God, this film's good.
Why?

That leaves only the other fat guy to be identified. Surely he's from something.
