Do you observe the One-Seat rule...?
#26
I almost always go to movies alone. When I go with another person it's usually my wife. I guess that makes my answer N/A.

Back on topic: If/when I can - I observe the one seat rule. It has nothing to do w/ homophobia, I just like to enjoy the space. Sharing an armrest sucks, and most movie theaters don't have enough leg room for me as it is, so I try to get all the leg room I can.

I see people leave a seat between them occasionally, but I never do it. Why would I want to go to a movie with a friend and then sit by myself?
I try, whenever possible, to leave an empty row BEHIND my seat. It cuts down on the kicks to the head.

No, I don't follow this "rule."
Also, I hate when people do this at crowded showings during opening weekends. I've had to basically sit in the front row for Return of the King and Kill Bill 2, when there were tons of empty seats that would have been open if people would have just sat together instead of spread apart.

Actually the only rule that I follow is that I make sure I have 2 Sprites on each handrest just in case some fine honey decides to sit next to me or some big sasquach does.

It depends on if the theater is packed or not. If there's room and I'm not with a big pack of friends, I'll usually sit 1 away from my friend and we use the middle seats for our coats or unwanted popcorn bags or whatever. The only reason I really do it is just that I'm a pretty big guy so I get more elbow room that way
On thing I have about sitting next to someone is sharing the arm rests

Do you partake in this weird male ritual? Are guys really that homophobic?
