Sanaa Lathan is soooo talented and sooo hot !!! She's Blade's Mommy.

Looks like a fun popcorn flick to me. Nothing more, however. Lots of "great" actors though, I mean, there was that girl and the guy, and then the dude who played Bishop. Good times there.
It was disappointing for Anderson to concede that, without humans, the storytelling/horror/whatever might have trouble. Isn't that what good writing and directing can give you? Heck, there was a movie called The Bear where it was just a couple bears running around for a while. No language needed, we knew what was happening. Having an element of the movie just being predator/alien would be nice, if done right. Unfortuantely, I don't think he's exactly capable of that nor would he/they be "brave" enough for it.
Heck, how would we know it was the sacrificial/egg breeding chamber unless a human told us...

Without humans you don't get to see and kick ass kills. DUH!

This movie has too much hype... very rarely do movies with loads of hype live up to them.. I can't think of one now but the movies that did not are huge..
