What exactly does Tarantino have to do with Hero?

I see the trailer for Hero before Kill Bill 2 and there's QT's name in big letters right as the Hero trailer starts. My friend turns to me and asks did Quentin write it? And I say No, I just think he liked it. What's the deal?

Miramax wanted to cut it up and dub it and never release it, so Tarantino decided to step in and beg Miramax to let him stick his name to it and keep it the way it is except add a hip-hop soundtrack and insert a scene with him drinking coffee watching Jet Li fight Donnie Yen.

For more detailed information, read the lengthy Hero thread elsewhere on this very page.

No, it's not. I think it was green tea, not coffee.

Haha, ok. So basically Quentin used his clout to have Miramax release the film, unchanged, undubbed, and just as it is. I say...go Quentin.
