once again,, that scene looks explicit, but watch it again and slow it down, there's nothing being done.

now if you mean, do i think the scene, even with it just going through the actions should get an R rating? no i don't think it deserves an R, and i don't think the film is for minors, or people easily offended..

i think the film is actually hit and miss, i enjoy all of his work, but granted, i think higher of his other films compared to this one.

but i can say the same thing about any director.

Wrong. The sex in the film is real, not simulated: Erect penises being sucked unto ejaculation; vaginas being licked and fingered. The only act not shown definitively is intercourse, but I have little doubt that all the naked humping and pumping is genuine.

Granted, the film is not your average porn, in that it makes overtures to substance, whereas most shot-on-video porn is about nothing more than people screwing.
But Clark doesn't bother with much characterization, plot, or perspective, making its legitimacy as non-porn suspect.

"Ken Park" falls somewhere between NC-17 and the fictitious XXX. NC-17 is inadequate; XXX is harsh.

I watched this movie the other night. I absolutely hated it. Oddly enough, I liken my opinion of Ken Park to that of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Ken Park made me feel like pure and utter shit afterwards. But that's not the main problem - many great films are totally depressing. No, the problem is that it has absolutely NOTHING else going for it. No redeemable qualities whatsoever. What was this movie trying to say? What was the point? I can appreciate plotless movies when they have something important to say. Hell, even Larry Clark's movie Kids had a pretty important message. But what was Ken Park trying to say? "Life sucks, and only the people who kill themselves can be happy"?

And then there's the gratuitous and totally pointless nudity. Watching this movie, I couldn't help but wonder if Clark gets some sort of sick pleasure out of seeing young boys' penises. While I wouldn't call this movie "porn," it wasn't too far from it. Take away the non-nude scenes and all the characterization, and you have a film that would probably get you sent to jail if the cops found it on your computer.

for the first pic in the second link, if that aint penetration, it looks damn close to it.
