Wha- Bu- It- Uh. Oh no.

Is this to say that it hasn't even been picked up for a direct-to-video release? That's funny.

I must say, in my wildest dreams, I never never expected to see this!

I've read the script for this. It was last summer, I was working at New Concorde, Roger Corman's production company, as a script reader. Among the piles of scripts on my desk was a tiny little script with a green cover, and the words "Sci-Fighters" printed on it.

Now, Corman got a lot of schlock, but even the worst ones could possibly be somewhat good with a good script doctor. Not so with Sci-Fighters. First of all, the whole thing was less than 60 pages. But it wasn't a treatment; it was the entire script.

Whenever a character was introduced, they specified who would play him (Don "The Dragon" Wilson and Lorenzo Lamas were both specified in the script!). The dialogue was trite and did nothing but further the plot in the most obnoxious way possible. The real bulk of the script were about 13 fights that were so heavily choreographed on the page that they listed every single punch, kick, and block.

This was simply one of the worst scripts I had ever read, and I just knew that even shooting low (I mean, Lorenzo Lamas? Come on) they wouldn't get anyone of any consequence to sign off on this rotten egg of a script.

And yet, here it is. I can't believe it. I just can't believe it. Is there no justice in this world?

That is way more than Bambi had!

Man, now I wish I had kept that script. It could have been a highly prized collector's item.

You know....this is exactly the kind of the movie I would rent when I visit Blockbuster and have either seen everything at the theater or am not interested in the week's new releases. I could mock....but secretly, I would probably rent this.....I will go hide my head now.

Ok just sent a "fan e-mail" to the director. The flagrant abuse of grammar is intentional and I'll post the reply if there is one hehe.

Here it is:

Hi there! Just wanted to tell you how AWESOME this movie looks!! I meen, Cyntia Rotrock, Don "The Dragon" Wilsen AND Lorezo Lamas ALL IN THE SAME MOVIE!!11!!

When does it come out? Is it on dVD? I liek Don Wilsen becoz he KILLS PEEPLE with his BEAR HANDS! Glad to see him back in action!!1! I hope Lorezo dosent die in the movie becoz hes good with a gun or a TON of guns LAL!!

And i hope Cyntia does her famous kick to the head of the guy bakwards when she's facing the guy you know? Thgats AWESOME too!!

I see no reason to mock the film before you even see it. I could go into a speil about how B-Movies can still be enjoyable but I don't think it'd make a difference.

Yeah, but I read the script, it's actually worse than the trailer makes it look.

Still, this would be a hilariously bad movie, but if you can't mock bad movies, then...what CAN you mock?

It's emailing the guy that made it that seems to go overboard. To me it's elitist. Dark Friend isn't just making fun of a movie he hasn't seen, he's sending email to the director and mocking him and the (perceived) type of people that would see it.

Well, when I posted it, I kind of had a mocking tone to it. But then, I also LOVE schlock. I mean, I just bought King Solomon's Mines and The Lost City of Gold - terrible, horrible Raiders of the Lost Ark rip-offs, but I loved them both.

So really, I have no moral high ground to mock.

Hey Derrich, go rent the movie and then get back to us with your review. Maybe you'll feel better about making fun of the director then.

I like a stupid movie like this once in a great while as well, but Derrich, do you honestly think this is going to be a good movie?
