I forgot to mention that there's one of the best uses of split-screen I've ever seen in it. The audience actually gasped at how cool it was.

I just saw the Ebert and Roeper review.

I've never seen a BJ on network TV quite like that before.

One more question, guys.
Does the movie open up with another Shawscope and "feature presentation" logo?

BTW, I caught that Ebert/Roeper show. They raved the hell out of it!

I've never seen either volumes. I, did, however see the trailer for Vol. 2 and it looked horrible. Very cheesy and lame. But, maybe with these low expectations the movie will turn out good for me, who knows. I will see Vol. 1 first, then if I thought it was watchable, I will see Vol. 2.

The trailer for Volume 2 didn't really show anything...

It was very tongue in cheek and pretty pointless

It opens with The Bride getting shot by Bill, then "Volume 2" rolling across the screen, then the first chapter of a flashback to the chapel before The Bride gets shot. The tone of the film is set right there with some solid acting and great dialouge (and of course
Spoiler:
Mr. Jackson with some memorable lines
).

I just watched Ebert and Roper's review and they both gave it a resounding thumbs up! Their review has pumped me up for this movie even MORE. They also review the dvd coming out soon and makes me glad I ordered. Man, this is going rock!

Oh well, there is always the dvd release.

I remember that picture. In the production stills thread there are a couple of pictures of a scene of Uma and Carradine walking together which isn't in the movie. I think that was White's scene.

Yeah. "Yuki's Revenge" was the chapter that could have started Vol-2 since it begins after "Showdown/House-Blue Leaves". But Tarantino ended up ditching the chapter entirely (You can still read it wherever the script is)
Yuki was said to be more crazier than GoGo.

Ebert gives the shit that Tarantino flushes down the toilet two thumbs up. He thinks that if he gives him enough rave reviews that he will forgive him for giving a thumbs down to Reservoir Dogs (aka before Tarantino was the cool thing).

*farts* Ahhhh. That was nice.

http://www.suntimes.com/ebert/ebert_...2/1012912.html

To be fair, he gave Reservoir Dogs 2.5 stars. Another half-star would have been a 'thumbs up'.

He wrote "as for the movie, I liked what I saw, but I wanted more." Good Ebert. But then, he writes "Tarantino doesn't do much with his characters except to let them talk too much, especially when they should be unconscious from shock and loss of blood." Bad Ebert.

After apparently 'getting it' while watching Pulp Fiction, I guess he was probably like 'oops, I've messed myself'.

Oh, and Ebert is the only critic who gets any attention from me.

I'm there opening morning; first show.
