Don Coscarelli's The Beastmaster
Being one of my favorite movies I watch this thing like on a regular basis, however I have always wondered why this movie got a PG rating? I mean there is nudity in it!

Monkeys don't count.
It was before PG-13 was a rating, which is what it probably would have gotten. 16 Candles also had nudity and was PG before PG 13. Quick nudity used to be OK for PG.

How did Horror Dude change his username and reset his/her post count?

I used to watch this movie quite often, but had a taped-off-television vhs that didn't have any nudity.

I watched my DVD last week. May need to watch it again today. I always had a huge crush on Tanya Roberts. The DVD has outtakes with extra nudity from her (in the form of an Easter egg).
I'm pissed this isn't on BD yet. Someone get Shout Factory on the line.

Similar to how I never saw the full glory of Robocop until about 10 years ago. As a kid I had yet another taped-off-tv version with all of the violence removed. The full movie was an eye-opener.

Okay, just keep in mind this was pre-internet and I was 12 years old. 10 seconds of boobies on cable was what we lived for back then.

And HBO showed it all of the time so lots of chances for those 10 seconds. I know where my Divimax DVD is so I may give this a watch tonight.

For those that are going to watch the Divimax DVD, remember to also do the following.
You're welcome.
"HBO"? You must mean "Hey, Beastmaster's On!"

Seriously, in 1983-84 "Beastmaster" must have been on at least three times a day on HBO.
Not that I minded; loved that movie. Even saw it in theaters back in the day. Listen I was a D&D-playing 11 year old ubergeek, anything REMOTELY sword-and-sorcerish was a must-see.
