best part 2 of a trilogy

hmm, tough one, I'd go esb, then dotd, and then godfather 2. and for those confused on which flick to vote for, pick your favorite out of the 10 choices.
for instance, you may have liked a new hope better then empire, but if you liked empire out of all of the ones listed, you would vote for empire.

Lots of great ones. I'd personally have to go with Empire or Godfather 2.

Even though I'm a big fan of The Two Towers and Empire Strikes Back, I have to go with Godfather Part II.

I love The Empire Strikes Back and Dawn of the Dead.

I chose Dawn of the Dead. While it did spawn Day of the Dead, at least Day of the Dead was no Return of the Jedi.

The Empire Strikes Back!

by far!

"Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings.

Whenever I hear "part two" and "which is better" I think ALIENS. Then I read your post and saw words like "trilogy" and "of the list."

So...leaving the bonehead "other" vote which was mistakenly meant for Aliens, and saying Godfather 2.

Regardless of how many time I get asked why, I hated Empire, and I still find it very hard to watch... its boring, plods along and just plain bores me to tears!

My vote is for The Two Towers. It was a great bridge from the first to the third movie.

I voted Empire because for it's time it broke technological boundaries and storytelling ones. It locked the series into (I think) the first super produced old time serial. The "I am your father." line clinches it. The movie ended on that note! It confused me as a kid, but watching it later, I realize (especially with the foreshadowing in Star Wars) that it was pretty frikkin' amazing. I guess that's why the recent fall of Lucas seems to hurt so much for so many. (my enter key just stopped working so, no paragraph separation unless I restart my computer and it's late/I'll try space bar) Evil Dead II was tempting to pick because it is often overlooked as the best #2 while everyone lauds Army of Darkness (fun, but vastly not as well done), Plus, this was more of a remake than a sequel, if my eyes and ears weren't fooling me.

Empire of course. AT-ATs, Yoda, Asteroid Chase, Vader killing everyone left and right, Han wields a saber among other things. What's not to like?

Empire by a slight margin over GFII and The Two Towers. It's the only second movie that's my favorite of the trilogy, I like GFI and ROTK better in those trilogies.
