While The Big Lebowski is definitely witty and surreal, I prefer Office Space - funny and easy to relate to.

While Office Space is very funny, Lebowski is genius.

I went with The Big Lebowski. Both films are great and funny, but the performances by Bridges and Goodman, in particular, give it the edge. And the dialogue:

"You mean coitus?"
"Shut the f--- up, Donnie!"

etc.

I like both, but they have different themes which makes it hard to choose. I think it depends on day and mood...

Cheers

I liked John Goodman in TBL; I wasn't that enamored of the characters in Office Space. To me it seemed more like a satirical documentary than a comedy. As such, it seemed funnier to me, because, like Dilbert strips, there was so much 'Yep, that's exactly what happens!' when watching it. Plus, that one guy who got dumped on, with the thick glasses, he was just sad : (. But I know that type of person at work.
I voted Office Space, but had the poll had a 'Meh...' option, I would have gone for that one. I've seen both films, don't really care to see either of them again, and I don't see why either of them is such the cult classic they are apparently considered to be.

No funnier line then when john goodman says "This is what it feels like when you F-ck a stranger in the ass." That is just so great.

I love Office Space but haven't watched my copy of The Big Lebowski yet, so I won't vote until then. Just so you TBL fans know, I just bought it on a blind buy thanks to all of you guys raving about it.

"Is this your homework Larry?"

Office Space has it's moments but isn't in the same league as Lebowski.

Office Space loses its comedic steam fast once the "caper" aspect of the film starts.

The Big Lebowski, on the other hand, seems to get funnier as it goes on.

Lebowski is the more funny of the two, but both are great.

This seems like a pretty much neck and neck race. When I clicked on the thread I wasn't expecting these movies to come up, but it is a tough decision. I went with Office Space because it's higher up on my "Favorite Movies Of All Time," and I find it easy to think about in the middle of your boring day to bring out a few chuckels. Although I think The Big Lebowski is a better movie. Office Space wins it for me since the question is: which is funnier.

Both are great films, but The Big Lebowski is on an entirely different level.
