So much for the booyaa. Miramax has pushed back Hero AGAIN to August 20th. Somewhat unlikely, considering that "Infernal Affairs" is also being released in August by Miramax....
And Shaolin Soccer is delayed until April now.

Does anyone who owns the HK Hero and Shaolin Soccer DVD knows if it is 16x9 or not?
Now that I have a widescreen HDTV, I only will buy the 16X9 DVDs. Letterbox doesn't cut it anymore since I have to use the 4x3 expanded mode and lose all that resolution.
Thanks.

They'll probably be asking themselves, "Where the hell is DMX?"..and "why doesn't Hero have a hip/hop soundtrack?"

We got it. You didn't like the movie. You don't have to keep reminding us.

For those of you in the Boston area.... I work at the Coolidge Corner Theatre and we're honoring Zhang Yimou with an award at the end of May. He'll actually be here accepting the award in Brookline - which is pretty fantastic since I heard he hasn't been the states in nearly a decade. I don't know if that's true though.
Anyway, I'm not trying to plug the award ceremony... but in the interest of this thread, I just wanted to let you know that we're also showing Hero the day after the award ceremony on May 27th at 7:30pm. So for anyone who hasn't seen it yet - this is a great opportunity.
Throughout the month, we're also showing Ju Dou, Raise the Red Lantern, To Live and the Turandot Project.

saw the trailer today, was pretty good, noticed that there was no dialogue spoken, so it prob. will be subtitled in theaters. and it is now "quinten tarantino presents. Jet Li's Hero"
