What movie is this quote from?

1:....divorce till next year.
2:Well look it's none of my business but you are married to one of the great women of the world who adores you. My God if anyone has it made, you do.
1:She insists she's in love, whatever that is . What she means is she prefers the senseless pain we inflicted on each other as opposed to the pain we would always inflict on ourselves. But I'm not afraid of that solitary confinement. In fact if I don't strip myself of all this clatter and clutter and ridiculous ritual, I shall go out of my *****ing mind. Does that answer your question?
2:What question is that?
1:You asked me why I was getting divorced.
2:Oh listen it's your life, I'm sorry I even asked.

Thanks in advance, it's sampled in a song I'm listening to with various movie quotes and I can't find this one on imdb.

Eyedea and Abilities - Exhaused Love from the upcoming CD E&A.

Also, Eyedea and Abilities - Two Men and a Lady is an entire song composed of snippets from movie quotes. I can't identify many, but I did pull out Magnolia, Election, Chasing Amy, and an Adam Sandler track "Tollbooth Willy"

My AOL instant messenger name is Tygloalex if anyone helps. Thanks again.

I'm not very sure about it, but the tone of that quote has me thinking of Woody Allen's "Husbands and Wives".

Well, 9 months later, I found my answer: Simple Men by Hal Hartley. Great film.

Simple Men - good movie. Saw it a few years back, but would not have recognized those quotes as being from that movie.

Re: What movie is this quote from?

They sampled a quote from the film 'Simple Men' in the song Paradise.

But this quote is in the song Exhausted Love and the movie is Altered States

Posted long-winded and pretentious film reviews that no one bothers to read and bitched about my life without bothering to change it? Increased traffic by reading random threads which I don't post in? Annoyed people with questions I could've had answered by Google? That's all I can think l of.
