The time is ripe for a remake of BRAVE NEW WORLD

Not sure if it was a movie or TV movie, but it seems with the advent of cloning Technology and such that the time is right for a new look into Aldous Huxleys A Brave New World.

Actually surprised that this hasnt been redone yet, I don't remember the movie I saw being all that great in the first place, though I was pretty young at the time.

Just curious as to how many have read this book and would like to see it on the big screen (again?)

I was also thinking it would be nice to see The Martian Chronicles made into a theatrical series of films, vaguely remember the TV movie.

Yes, true, they haven't made this movie enough times. Oh, I'd like it if in sci-fi and action and drama movies everytime new things happen characters should say "it's a brave new world!" That'd be cool.

No seriously, this story has been made to death, everyone has read it to death, let's move on. I've seen movies, tv movies, and everyone has read the book. And for christ's sake they just use that damn phrase too much. Nonetheless, let's skip brave new world. Martian Chronicles...I can deal with that. I know they're doing JOhn Carter with R Rodriguez.

In high school I watched a dated version (I think it aired on HBO originally) for my sociology class. It was one of the worst productions I've seen in my life. Once was enough.

Hmmmm. I wasnt aware of any version apart from the one I saw in the '70's. Guess I dont watch enough TV.

Since I liked the book I Just thought it would be nice to see it done well, but I guess I am alone on this.

This is the same one based on Aldous Huxley's book????

Everything I have heard so far sounds like crap, no offense to Leonard Nimoy.

Sorry. Good book does not equal good movie. It's like Childhood's End. Good book, would make a poor movie.

Of course, that book has the whole "jumping ahead in time with new characters replacing old ones repeatedly" thing working against it.
