Interesting that Cold Mountain jumped up 14 percent despite playing in 177 less theaters. I know a lot of people didn't like it and it's also become a popular punching bag for all the Miramax haters out there, but I liked it and like to see it do well.

I agree, I enjoyed it, not the best movie of 2003 or anything but definitely in my top 10 and it's good to see it's finding an audience. (Mostly old folks I think -- when I saw it we were the only people under 40 in the room it felt like).

I've seen alot of Cold Mountain advertising on TV lately. That probably helped increase its box office profile.
