The Great Ninja Movie Thread

We have some Samurai threads floating around.

So what are some great ninja movies? Drama, action, any genre will do that features some wicked ninjas.

I happen to enjoy these (of course, it doesn't mean they're good):

American Ninja - Michael Dudikoff
Enter the Ninja - Sho Kosugi
Revenge of the Ninja - Sho Kosugi
Ninja III: The Domination - Lucinda Dickey
9 Deaths of the Ninja - Sho Kosugi
TMNT, TMNT II
Surf Ninjas - Rob Schneider
Heroes of the East (aka Challenge of the Ninja or Shaolin Challenges Ninja) - Shaw Bros w/ Gordon Liu
Ninja Wars (aka Iga Ninpoucho) - Sonny Chiba

9 Deaths of the Ninja is terrible of course...

Pray for Death is at least a little better (Sho Kosugi)

Ever see Rage of Honor with Sho Kosugi? It's pretty good as well. How can you leave off Beverly Hills Ninja with Chris Farley?

I saw this ninja movie on TV one time many years ago. I completely forget the title but it was based on a book called The Game or something along those lines.

It was basically a foot race where contestants could fight each other, there were people chasing and trying to kill you, and other various obstacles.

Rather vague description, but if that sounds familiar to anyone, it would get a vote from me.

How about a Swedish ninja film, in which they speak English? I remember this one from my childhood...

While I'll admit it's a pretty bad movie, The Hunted with Christopher Lambert is a fun movie to watch.

bump.

i just saw samurai fiction, and while not a ninja movie, it's depection of ninjas was great and fullfuly what i would want to see in a movie about ninjas.

i realize the same director followed up with Red Shadow, which is ninja based so i look forward to seeing that asap. but i am curious of other ninja movies, where ninjas are not the focus but are somewhere in the mix and presented well.

The Lone Wolf & Cub manga features ninja heavily, so many encounters made it into the movie series. Not always your typical ninja, but plenty of exotic weapons and tricky tactics.
