ROTK:EE running time is.......

4 hours and 10 minutes. PJ has just finished editing it and that is the supposed running time. This is according to TheOneRing.net.
They're not sure if that run time also includes the credits.

I was hoping it would more in the 4:30 /4:45 ballpark.
Oh well. Can't wait!

Does that include 69 minutes of "fan club credits"?

According to what Peter Jackson said before RoTK opened in the theaters, the first rough cut he did of the film came out to around 4 hours 15 minutes. It appears that the RoTK Extended Edition DVD movie will be almost the same as that rough cut edition he did originally.

And not a minute wasted, methinks. I cannot wait for the ROTK theatrical cut to become a memory, much as I love it.

I am so looking forward to seeing this cut. I am also looking forward to the release of all three EE's next XMas.

I figure they will do a one week release or at least a day or two with all three playing.

I am making an assumption based on how well they did with the first two EE's

I could be wrong. However since it will mean an additional 10-20 million profit for New Line I figure my guess will turn out to be right

They will finally make some money by the time the EE's are released this year.

Sad I know. Over 3 billion in earnings with dvd sales and they only make 10-20 million due to an EE release

I wish I had "no profit" productions like that.

i was hoping for 4:30 - 5 hours, but still, i cant wait!

3:30 + 3:40 + 4:10 = 11:20 hours total runtime!

Soon, for the first time ever on network Television:

All three lord of the rings movies - EXTENDED EDITIONS!

Specially broadcast in 2 hour segments over 7 nights with tons of commercials, but it is still the extended editions!

Just please don't get upset where we cut for commercial or end each night, because we know you won't like it.

And of course, night 7 is just the ending scenes.

It would probalby be 7 2 and a half hour segments since each "part" is about 1 hour and 50 minutes.
