I've noticed in several of his movies, that he seems to either have discussions (the foot massaging scene in pulp fiction) to seeing Bridget Fonda's feet in jackie brown... and so on. Does he have some kind of thing for girl's feet, or is one of his "trademarks" according to imdb, to have close ups of someon's foot. He also got to lick Salma Hyeack's foot in "from dusk till dawn"

There are no feet in Resevoir Dogs.

Though some people call their feet "dogs".

ie. "After that run, my dogs are killing me!" Hidden subtext!

Also notice there's no women in Reservoir Dogs. Notice I said 'women,' so the movie can have one.

The foot fetish is mentioned several times in Peter Biskind's extremely entertaining "Down and Dirty Pictures".

I would have to say that he does have a fetish. And he's using his movies to expose us to all his little fantasies. Man, I don't care what the woman looks like or how hot she is, I'm not licking her foot if she ain't my wife/gf or whatever.

And he gave us that seemingly forever-long shot of Uma's disfigured feet. Ewww .

Yeah, I'd say he has something for feet.

Did you ever notice all of the shoes on the wall in Eric Stoltz's bedroom in Pulp Fiction?

Edit: Fixed confusing grammer.

Howard Stern asked him about this back when Vol. 1 came out. He didn't answer straightforwardly, but he more or less said, yeah Uma's got nice feet, who wouldn't want to show them. That sort of thing.

They are a size 11 and according to here all jacked up.

And from this link
http://www.xkot.net/archives/2003_10.html

That's not to say Tarantino doesn't sexualize the women here and there. The man clearly has a foot fetish. Nothing else can explain the screen time devoted to worshipping Uma's lumpy hooves, but even that seems somehow affirming. Her feet are the one un-sexy part of Uma Thurman's body.

Why the hell would anybody get turned on by feet? That's disgusting.

Ya' think? Though he stole that idea from Tarantino . . .

Seriously though, you can watch any two Bunuel movies in succession and see that fetish almost explicitly illustrated.

I saw a quote from Pauline Kael (paraphrased): "We should all be thankful for that day a young Luis spent in his mother's closet."

But do I have a legitimate answer for you (i.e. something taken from an interview or biography)? Of course not . . .

Another informed and intelligent post on DVDTalk.

A fetish, as defined by dictionary.com, is: Something, such as a material object or a nonsexual part of the body, that arouses sexual desire and may become necessary for sexual gratification.

There are other definitions, but this is the one that is pertinent to the discussion.

Meanwhile, I agree that Uma's feet are UGLY. Salma's got nice ones, though.

I hate feet though an ex g/f of mine had really the best feet I'd ever seen. They were perfect but I still wouldn't want to suck on them. I mean I can understand someone having a foot fetish for feet like my ex g/fs by why for the love of god Umas?
