Touching The Void - Don't miss it!!
I understand that Touching The Void is being released in Theaters in the US this week.
I caught this last weekend here in the UK and have to say that if it is playing near you then don't let this brilliant film pass you by!!
Anyway..more details :-

Saw this last Sunday - wow! What an incredible true life story. The reanactment of the events and the cinematography are astonding (not to mention the subtle yet effective Dolby Digital soundtrack which firmly places your auditory senses on the side of the mountain and inside the crevase). I highly recommend this film.

I just saw this today and it was great. I've been reading up on the story ever since I first heard about the film and couldn't wait to see it. Quite a story. Hopefully the DVD will have some nice extras.

I read about this in Jeffrey Well's column a couple of weeks ago - I can't wait to see it and I am glad to hear more positive feedback. Hopefully it comes to St. Louis...

Finally saw this film today and it was amazing. It combines documentary and dramatization to great effect, and goes against the conventional wisdom of not using too much narration. Kept me at the edge of my seat with suspense and cringing with the bone-jarring drama.
About the only problem I had with it was the beat-up condition of the print I saw and some moments where I thought the film was trying to hit feature-length. But, really, I can't recommend this enough.
9/10

Just had to bump this one, my friend rented it and introduced it to me, then I picked it up at one of the b2g1 ddd sales and just broke it out over the holidays.
I forgot how good it was at creating real suspense and emotion even with the documentary/re-enactment format. Anyway, if you haven't seen this flick, definitely check it out.

After seeing it, I have to agree that it's a great flick. At the very least, rent or borrow it. It's worth checking out.
